Clarke Asphalt Paving and Maintenance provides a wide range of asphalt services. Clarke can take your old driveway away and replace it with a fresh new driveway that your neighbors will envy. We can even go over your existing driveway, filling in low spots and leveling the surface before paving. Clarke also provides asphalt sealcoating services. Sealcoating an existing driveway will add life, protect and add beauty to your dull driveway.

Here you can see Clarke paving a driveway in Portland, ME. The picture on the left shows the driveway before it was extended one foot on the right side and paved. Small amounts of asphalt were used to fill in holes and level certain areas. Workers then started overlaying the existing asphalt with new asphalt 2" thick. The new asphalt was rolled and the edges were trimmed to make for a nice finish.

The left photo shows new asphalt in an area where our machines could not maneuver. Asphalt in tight areas is moved, leveled to grade and compacted by hand. The new asphalt in this picture was given a slight angle to allow water to flow away from the home.
Sealcoating your new driveway should be done after about 1 year of curing. Existing driveways that are in satisfactory shape should be sealcoated to maximize the useful life of the asphalt. Filling the cracks and sealcoating your driveway can increase curbside appeal, provide protection against the elements and add value to your home.
