How its done with Clarke.
Wash the substrate with bleach or TSP, scrape to remove all loose and peeling paint or stain. Lightly sand to provide a firm base for the finish system. Prime bare wood to seal and prevent any bleaching. Finally, stain or paint with one or two coats of a high quality stain or paint.
We also offer the paint shaver. With this tool, paint or stain is 100% removed from the siding. Since the paint shaver is connected to a vacuum, it provides a dust free working area. We use this tool to address paint failures. This system saves you money because instead of residing the whole house, we can restore siding with the paint shaver. Once we have the paint completely off the house we can start from scratch with the right stain or painting system that will last a life time.
